That... actually sounds like a very reasonable price. Most cars of this vintage seem to sell for at least ~$15,000, and anything woody is desirable, so this ain’t bad.

What are the chan ces that this is a 1970s F150 underneath?

I didn’t have a lot of time to inspect it, but it looks original (a s far as I can tell).

The wood could use some finishing, but it looks like it is in pretty good shape.

A model T was listed near me for 8 grand it and went quickly, despite the sellers terrible attitude. Small audience but even fewer cars.

This is what a Model A woody looks like!

I don’t know what that green thing is, but it looks like a recreation. The wheels are too big, the hood is wrong, the body is wrong and all of the proportions are wrong.

The Model T enthusiasts I’ve met are great people... it’s hard not to get caught up in their enthusiasm for these cars when they’re around. 8k is a good price for one.

I’ve not met any, but the seller seemed to  expect people to come to him on his hands and knees, (rightly?) saying that if you need information about it, it's not for you. At that price I'm sure people would.

I think this is actually a ‘70s or ‘80s kit car or home built project. At least doesn’t have any Model A or T sheet metal on it, and width and wheelbase would point to a newer chassis

It is possible. If it is a kit car, however, I would think that the interior would be more modern .

Love the 2x4 and plywood body work. This thing is huge too. Way bigger than any “ A” based vehicle I have ever seen.

It isn’t, I’ve seen one of these before, I forget the manufacturer (thought it was Legendary, but theirs are more finished looking), it is a neoclassic replicar of some sort.

Not necessarily a bad thing, means it might have decent brakes and can maybe get up to modern traffic speed, if you wanted something with this general look that you could use every day

I would say he’s probably the exception... There’s an antique car club in my area with lots of Model Ts and various other vintage cars, and they’re one of the best car communities I’ve ever seen. There’s no real rivalry, they just want to gather and enjoy cars. There’s one guy in the group who has several rare cars,(one of which, a Willys Knight, is one of only 11 ever made) and he drives them all regularly. Another guy let me go for a ride in a beautiful Mercer Raceabout replica he had built himself... one of the most thrilling automotive experiences I’ve ever had. They’re a fantastic community.

Yeah, that thing is a $3 bill. The radiator shell especially makes me cringe.

I’m skeptical, looks like another classic design I could mention.

That seems to be the consensus.
